I need someone to talk to
Pastoral Care
The clergy are always happy to meet with those in need of prayer or pastoral care. For those who cannot get to church, holy communion is taken to their homes on a monthly basis. We are glad to hear of anyone wishing to be visited in this way, and the clergy are also available to visit those who are in hospital or a nursing or residential home. The ministry of healing, including anointing, is available for those who would find this helpful.
Prayer
Morning Prayer usually takes place in the Lady Chapel of the church at 9.00am from Monday to Friday. Anyone is welcome to come to this simple service, which lasts about 20 minutes. It begins with the ringing of the Angelus on the church bell. The sound of the bell reminds the people of the parish that they are being prayed for on a regular basis.
There is an Intercessions Book in the church in which the names of those who are sick or in need, and those who have recently died, can be written. These people are prayed for at services on Sundays, Wednesdays and at other times.
